Who needs smile?
Absolutely anyone,
at any level who is
connecting with
your customers!

What is a smile?
It is one of the most instinctive and simple of expressions and yet, can be
a complex, dynamic and powerful form of social interaction and connection.
We use many different types of smiles to express ourselves and
to communicate with others from the flirtatious to the embarrassed.
Below are examples of different smiles.
Can you guess what they are and what they communicate?

The most heartfelt smile, involving both the mouth and eyes, indicating true happiness, positive emotion and inviting connection.

A playful, subtle smile combined with eye contact to signal attraction or interest, often teasing.

The smile that signals openness, feels relaxed, builds social bonds, supports harmony & collaboration.

An insincere smile involving only the mouth, sometimes used in customer service to appear polite without genuine emotion.

A smile used to manage awkwardness or discomfort, sometimes accompanied by blushing or looking away.

A genuine smile used to express appreciation or approval, often as a way to say "thank you" or show warmth.

A smile reflecting mixed emotions like nostalgia and sadness, often linked to a happy memory.

Lots of situations call for trustworthy friendliness and that's when the polite smile is so effective.
